F you, GM.
I drive a Saab, and your lack of desire to make good, well engineered, american cars is why we had to bail you out.

Too bad you haven't learned, and millions will suffer.

1. the guy that founded the saab club of north america hated gm.....
he used to rant about gm in his first issues of the club newsletters. i meant him several times and he was a true saab fanatic. i`ve owned every model up to a 9000. i`ve owned over 20-25 saab 93-96`s.in my opinion the 96 silver engine 96`s were the best...if you were easy on the transmissions.

2. My two Oldsmobiles - I inherited both - ran like tops for years. And they were over 10 years old...
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 08:46 AM by Captain Hilts
but neither had a cupholder.

One was an '89 the other an '87. Ran great. Maintenance free except for one alternator.

But I'm a SAAB fan too, despite their electrical problems. So, I was saddened by this news.

4. F you too buddy
Too ignorant to understand the complexity of the auto industry.

I'm sure it is just their lack of desire, not the obvious external factors limiting what they can do.

5. In this thread
it's said we have wiring issues and transmissions that are weak, Wow I'm happy ford doesn't own the Saab so I won't have to worry with them. Go get yourself a Ford or even a GM product and drive a good vehicle is my advice. Let GM drop the Saab

11. What does Ford or GM make that is close to:
1. Hatchback, 4-door
2. Manual transmission
3. >200 hp
4. >130 mph
5. >28 mpg

Do they have a rally-style, fuel efficient car? I really don't know... suggestions welcome.

(I'm thinking my next car may be a Subaru, they seem to be doing a really good job on cars that work in Pacific Northwest mountain road driving... lots of curves, snow and ice conditions)

6. No loss. Saabs are ugly and cost too much to maintain.
The REAL losses were Pontiac and Saturn.

12. Saturn's quite the loss as well, I agree.
My Saab *does* cost more to maintain than my other cars have, but it's a cost I was willing to trade for performance... 130+ mph in an economy-sized package is fun!

We'll agree to disagree about the "ugly" part?

9. Saturn & Hummer out preformed Saab in sales...if they were so popular..
Sweden should take the company back. It appears GM didn't want that shifty Russian getting his hands on it.
