About The Hurt Locker
I'm a little confused about this past summer's "The Hurt Locker" which critics proclaimed an "exhilarating thrill ride". This doesn't make any sense to me because it's stupid to hail a film about an illegal, immoral and unjust invasion and occupation some sort of a "thrill ride", I never heard anybody say the same thing about Vietnam War movies.

I refused to watch that movie due to my determination to ban all Iraq War movies (except maybe Redacted) as a means to protest this illegal war and occupation.

Anybody tell me isn't it a good thing to watch this movie or still not watch it?

1. A 10-minute standing ovation at the Venice film festival.
I guess you shouldn't let your hatred of the war get in the way of your appreciation of great filmmaking.

5. Is that so...
I'll about it when I decided to watch it. If it wins some Academy Awards I'll change my mind about it. I promise (serious).

4. Yes, we must ignore reality and the chronicling of it, if it disagrees with us
BTW some would describe Apocalypse Now as an "exhilarating thrill ride."

7. A friend of mine who was in a similar situation in Iraq detests this movie. Says it is "unrealistic"
and way too POSITIVE. He says it doesn't even capture the pain and terror.
