Man...things change for the worse. I'd hate to see what this place would be like had we elected a far left president....the place would meltdown and implode.

I guess I am more for attacking the GOP...than the first seated DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT in 8 fucking years.

Regardless it is going to be a long road...have fun.

I'm outta here for a awhile to deal with personal crap. Obviously there is a REAL coordinated attack on the Obama Presidency and I highly doubt it is genuine in nature.

Oh...BTW...read up on the activities of our Friends across the isle for a change you may find out who the REAL problem is in this country.

Obama was my 4th choice - there were others who I thought, and still think, would be worse - but in the end he got my support only by being the last one standing - other than Hillary who is one of those 'others'.

are pretty much to the center-right. A fair number of Democrats on the left disagree with him on health care, the Forever War, Wall Street, Copenhagen, etc. On Free Republic, one is apparently expected to not complain about that sort of thing. Here, if one disagrees with the actions, one can complain regardless of the party doing the acting. That's why DU is better than Free Republic.

When I get really heated MY LEFT PINKY HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN AND HITS THE caps lock button. When I laugh my hands unconsciously type : rofl : I have laughter dripping from my finger tips.

Sometimes I don't even audibly laugh or roll around on the floor for that matter, but my fingers, MY FINGERS...do the laughing for me (and the rolling around on the floor, too).

This forum hasn't changed that much since I've been here. The primaries are a bit scary, but the tone now is what it always was.

wherein one, not being an unquestioning Party member, can come to criticize Democratic policies with which they don't agree, as well as praise the ones with which they do agree.

In fact, I always had the impression that was what being democratic was all about: the give-and-take of opinion and debate in an open forum...

Anyway, the REAL problem in this country is corporate rule, and many in both parties enable that.

The battle for power has shifted to a fight withing the Democratic Party, with a lot of conservatives playing hard to maintain ownership of the party.

That is why criticisms of Democrats and the Democratic Party is not only acceptable, but necessary.
