3. That is a seriously happy bear!
Damn, there should be some way to make that happen for them more than once a year. :( Maybe a new polar bear enclosure is needed, with snow for everyone. I think I am going to suggest that for the zoo. Mom and I are going on Xmas day this year -- finally! Can't wait to see all the excitement.

14. Have a great time at the zoo.
They are enjoying the snow so much, it would be a great idea for them to have it more often.

:hi:

8. No snow here in SF.
Their outdoor enclosure is very old, from when the zoo was first built during the WPA era. They have been updating animal enclosures for years now, trying to make them more humane/species authentic, but the poor polar bears enclosures have gotten minimual attention.

I think these photos can be used to inspire a push for a new snow inclusive enclosure for those guys. I know I am going to start making some noise about it.

9. I was surprised the zoo didn't try to recreate their natural habitat. Good luck with your mission.
