Jesus joins the war on Christmas
Edited on Tue Dec-22-09 03:35 PM by FSogol
From the yesbutnobutyes.com blog

"In Nipomo, California local resident Ron Lake has taken a different tactic in making his Christmas display. He's spurned all normal decorating conventions and put his "repressed creativity" to work.

Ron's given Jesus a shotgun and placed him hovering over a dead Santa Claus. Nearby is a dead Rudolph, laying in a truck bed."

1. I thought that was the whole thing about Jesus
He wouldn't even shoot Santa Claus.

2. Would someone tell these idiots Jesus wasn't born in December.
Most likely he was born in the spring. The line "Shepherds guarding their flock at night" is the clue. They were guarding new born lambs so they wouldn't be eated by predators.

Christmas wasn't celebrated in December till it became the official church of the Roman Empire. The authorities replaced the festival of Saturnalia with Christmas to get the citizens to convert.

3. Jesus with a shot gun in March doesn't have quite the same messaging power, eh?
But, you knew that, didn't you?

5. We know that. But if we tell the fundies, maybe their heads will explode.
No...on second thought, they like believing in made up "facts". It keeps their heads from twitching.

7. Funny...first I've heard of the war all year.
It seems to me that the MSM is rather festive.
Of course FOX is probably giving out warnings by now.

Thanks for Bringing IT up.
