Christmas on hold for the Midwest???

Like many families, we may have to postpone our family gathering. Thursday through Saturday local travel is expected to be nearly imposable. I hope Rudolph can show Santa the way for the kids (and the misfit toys).

3. Gee one of our meteorologists stated that snow that we have now would be gone by Xmas.
Said nothing about a storm watch coming.

4. Wow, and I was just telling someone today about my memories of winters in Omaha.
Some real beauties of snowstorms (blizzards), downtown workers who couldn't get home (I lived half a mile from downtown so I walked through knee-high snow a couples of times), and the cold! Certainly have some strong memories of those days. And we wore short skirts and miniskirts in those days (and dressy winter boots) so the cold wind blowing certainly froze my knees and other parts.

And traveling over the holidays, stranded at airports, sleeping on the floor, trying with hundreds of other passengers to get on the next plane out.

Here's hoping that all stay safe during this time. Holidays can be celebrated whenever people can get together.

And, Omaha Steve, thank you for the many, many wonderful posts you've made that have informed us. We really appreciate you!

Hugs and kisses and safe and warm holiday to you and your family.
