1. Um...kinda like eating our own...
If she were the Dem Candidate chosen and she was the one running against the Repugs...she would get my vote...it will be a cold day in hell before I ever vote for a Repug..

3. I haven't liked any of the Dem candidates for a long time, however
the alternative is so horrible that I would never switch.

Hillary Beats Anything The Other Side Has To Offer
She may not be my first choice, not sure yet, actually it is a little early to get too fired up.

I don't agree with everything about Hillary, think Obama looks good and the inexperience thing doesn't bother me much. We have had experience in there before that was not too hot. Not sure what Bush had.

I think Richardson would go good as a VP with whoever gets the nom where he would help carry some western states including his own.

Anyway, if it is Hillary when it is done, I will support her I am sure.

5. Doesn't the thread violate the rules on DU?

( the thread you linked)

I remember something there about
supporting the Democratic Party, and
not trying to advocate against it.

Hmmm--

7. What?
Who would post that, or who would leave the party because a candidate with a 95% rating from the ADA was nominated?

Well, in either case, the answer is "an idiot".

9. Unless You're A Donor...Who Cares...
All this dog and pony show is great if you're looking for a candidate to throw money at or attempt to influence. There is still more than a year until the first primary votes are cast and many of us are in states where the primaries won't matter anyway...so unless we either work directly for a candidate in another state or donate money, few of us have a real horse in this race yet.

I blissfully have no candidate and, as in years past, will remain totally uncommitted unless the primary in my state has any meaning...if not, then wake me up after the Denver Convention.

When people complain about how bad politics are in this country, the endless campaign and fundraising season is a major reason. In '68 RFK announced in May of that year...after the first primaries and was well on his way to the nomination. I'd welcome a reform to set up a shorter election cycle...similar to Britain and other countries that specify the campaign season. Limit the primaries to a few weeks in April or May (when the weather is better for more people to vote) and have regional primaries or just one national primary night. Then limit the actual campaign season to the 6 weeks following Labor Day...the time most voters usually start paying attention to elections anyway.

14. Agree to that. I remember the next day after the Nov election, cable
started in with the 08 election speculating on everyone.

Would be interesting how the elections would be if they had a limited time span. No big corporate donations. Not sure on how you could qualify as a candidate without the money but bet it could be worked out. How do they do that in europe?

11. I will if Bush is not Impeached. But not over Hillary's nomination.
It's starting to look like Pelosi has some deal with Hillary not to Impeach Bush Cheney. Pelosi would more than likely become the first female President if that were to happen. I think America's had more than enough of ex President relatives with Jr.
