Bachmann in good shape for re-election
From politicalwire.com =

Bachmann in Good Shape
Despite her polarizing status, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) is popular within her district, a new Public Policy Polling survey shows.

Bachmann's approval rating is 53%, with 41% disapproving. She leads both potential challengers by more than 15 points.

republican year than '08 was.

12. Agree . . . and I see the post below yours with info on two Dem candidates . . .
I'll check into it after New Year -- want to be sure they're NOT DLC . .. !!

13. The DLC is almost gone. Get over it. But honestly, for Bachmann...
I'd vote for Genghis Khan if he was the Democratic nominee.

15. I mean the organization the Democratic Leadership Council is almost out of money.
They no longer hold their yearly convention or produce their magazine. I know they are the great bogeyman on here, and a lot of people use the term "DLC" for Democrats they don't like (moderates, conservatives, etc.), but the actual organization is almost gone.

16. No . . . . we use the term "DLC" to identify the corporate wing of the Dem Party . . .
Again -- Obama eloped into the White House with Rahm Emmanuel --

he appointed Hillary who is part of DLC leadership --

Emmanuel continues to breed little "blue puppies" -- and solicit right wingers to

run as Dem candidates, even against moderate Dems --

Pehaps they're morphing into a new identity/phase?

But the purpose was to co-opt the Democratic Party and move it to the right . . .

which they have done -- I doubt they're quitting now.

17. See, you have all of these made-up definitions for a "DLC" Democrat...
...but the actual organization, the real organization, is almost extinct.

18. DLC is corporate wing . . . and definition of moving party to the right is their own . . .
They may have scrubbed their website recently, I don't know . . .

but that was what it said -- and always well known.

Again -- Rahm Emmanuel is DLC poison and he was taken into the White House by Obama.

19. Well neither of those is true, and I'm going to convince you.
They were formed in 1985 as a strong moderate wing after the liberal wing gave us Walter Mondale who lost 49 states to Reagan. They are no more corporate than George Soros is.

But my only point was, the organization is almost extinct. So it will be like calling a liberal Democrat, an "ADA Democrat" - referring to an organization that was relevant in the 1940's and 50's but has since passed into history.

And, sadly, DLC is the CORPORATE wing of the Dem Party -- wholly recognized.

it is anti-populist reform as Gore learned during his 2000 campaign -- and though he was

one of the many founding members, after his 2000 experience with them, he left.

They talked him into dropping his populist messages.

The DLC certainly is not "extinct" -- Rahm Emmanuel is in the White House and Hillary

is part of DLC leadership. They are obviously also behind the attacks on Dean.

Still arguing over dropping the 50 state plan in order to create more Dem Party losses.

And, Emmanuel continues to breed new "blue dog" puppies.

I can see the need for the DLC to try to hide from their history -- kinda like the

Blackwater desire for a name change . . . !!!

You might also take a look at this post on depth of Rahm Emmanuel's destructive powers

from the White House --

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=7310778&mesg_id=7310778

Meanwhile, as for prior elections, of course, Gore won 2000 --

We've had not only individual computer voting with us since the late 1960's . . .

but we also have had the LARGE computers which MSM use which came in during the mid-1960's...

These LARGE computers escalated the power of corporate media to advance from simply reporting

actual vote totals for candidates to being able to PREDICT totals and wins for candidates and

to CALL elections for candidates -- and to do the same re the Electoral College votes --

PREDICTING and CALLING states for candidates. Finally, to PREDICT and CALL election for

president/veep.

Coincidentally, these large and individual computers began coming in about the same

time that America was passing The Voting Rights Act. Nixon's "Southern Strategy" may have

been fiction disguised to hide election theft by computer.

This increased power was also reversed in 2000 with the RECALLING of Florida from Gore and

shortly there after CALLING Florida for Bush!

We should also recall the right wing political violence which has been out in the open since the

JFK coup -- and which further belies any real right wing movement. It's all based on violence,

assassinations, stolen elections and general fakery.

11. There must be some loony magnet
that draws critically thinking impaired people to her district. How any rational adult could pull the level for that twit is beyond me.

It's not just that she's polarizing, she's dumber than a box of rocks. Why anyone would want someone that stupid representing them in congress in just mind boggling. I'd be embarrassed to live in her district.

20. There will be a major GOTV effort here in MN, once the
Democratic candidate is chosen. People from all the surrounding districts will be out in force to drag Democratic voters to the polls in this midterm election.

Until we have a single candidate, though, there's little that can be done.

I, for one, will put all my energies into that race. The district is adjacent to mine in Saint Paul, and Betty McCollum will waltz into her re-election, so I'm going to focus on Bachmann's district. This can be won for the Democrats, and I think it will be.

Those of us in the metro area are more than aware of Bachmann, and grassroots efforts should be able to turn this one around.

21. The main supporter is a TV Church who's preacher
is a crook and demands all his members vote for her. Why is he a crook. He bought a house, a car, a plane, a boat and other stuff with church money. Then he "rented" them back to his self with a very very very low rental rate. No body in his church complained. He got on his electronic church board and told everybody to vote for Bachmann. This illegal and against the law, but did anybody do anything heck no. Hennipen County is republican as is the area around Minneapolis which really has to be checked and triple checked when it comes to counting votes.
