Why Should Good Health Care Be A Privilege?

Shouldn't it be available to all?

And why are we burdening folks who are fortunate enough to have good health care with additional taxes?

1. It depends on your definition of "good".

Basic health care should be provided to every U.S. citizen...not because it's a "right", but because it makes financial sense.

2. Because America sucks

Short sightedness. They do not realize that healthy workers work better. Small businesses that don't get bled on health expenses can thrive. They do not see that these costs will bankrupt the nation by making America uncompetative in every sector. They just see profit.

Or, perhaps they do understand it. Maybe the rich are aiming for some serfdom where everyone is a drone, serving the nearest big box company. Maybe they would rather rule in hell than, well, make a shitload in heaven.

Who knows.

10. Has it occurred to anyone that TPTB may have some interest in

keeping some portion of the American people in poverty and poor health? It keeps the masses fearful and malleable.

If there was an advantage or a buck to be made by providing health care to all someone would be doing it.

That said, regardless of TPTB's apparent interest in perpetuating poverty and poor health, health care should be considered a right, a fundamental prerequisite to the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness..
