NOt often mentioned are the millions of citizens and spouses over 65 who are still employed and whose employee/group insurance pays before Medicare - saving the Gubmint plan $millions (which our elected buzzards have squandered)

This program is just another scam to grab money from citizens for more fraud, waste & abuse in the system of socialism the Dems designed decades ago.

Great. Freepers in Red or Purple states with DEM Senators DO NOT FORGET THIS. Obama and the Dems will try and become moderate just in time for the 2010 election, don’t let them try.

Don’t wait for the RNC to take action or we will be exactly in this spot again. Take to the streets, editorial board and radio shows. We cannot afford do let another liberal to run this country.

I hope these bastards burn in hell for this. Still, there’s still away to go with this in the House. We have to keep the pressure on. We may even get help from the libtards in the House, many seem to think this POS doesn’t go far enough in destroying our health care system.

Does anyone know if there is a way to organize a class action suit to block this ?

Bad idea. All class action suits do is enrich the very lawyers who are the biggest Democrat party donors. Besides, no class action suit ever results in a victory for the party bringing the suit. Whenever private companies are sued in such a manner, they'll end up just settling the thing. The end result is a fat paycheck for the lawyers, and coupons for your next product/service from the same company that wronged you to begin with.

The real funny part in that is if enough plaintiffs make use of those coupons, it more than covers the loss paid to the lawyers. :)

Presumably, the Senate voted early for this monstrosity because its members wanted to get out town in advance of the predicted bad weather.

So I’m wishing them: long lines and long waits at the airport and when they do finally get on a flight, I hope they all sit next to someone like Dell Griffin.*

Due to the “no congressional action shall change this “ clause hidden in the middle of this bill, this turd will be impossible to uncrap. As we have sadly found, elections have consequences.

6. As Usual, They Go Against Their Own Interests
Wanna bet many in that sewer either are on some kind of disability or have no insurance at all. But they're so blinded and controlled they prefer to do their masters bidding at their own detriment and then blame us for their own shortcomings. What a nice racket they have there.

The other day I had coffee with a longtime friend...a fundie and borderline teabagger. He loves Palin and is a global warming denier, but I could see how frustrated and confused he is. He's not happy with this administration cause it's "socialist" but at the same time he doesn't like what the GOOP offers as he knows who it was who created most of the messes we're all having to deal with. He said he probably won't vote next year and if he does it will be for Libertarians.

The GOOP should treat lightly...and not assume that just cause they're the opposition that all the wingnuts will rally to them. Look for some bloody primaries up ahead and a lot of bad blood to follow. The focus on Democratic divides are nothing compared to the deep fractures on the other side.

9. I was going to comment on the similarity of posts... but
:shiver: these guys are fucking NUTS!!!!

At least the criticisms here are thought out.
Maybe not always WELL thought out, but god-fucking-damned!

Seriously these people need help!

I hate having to choose between defending this piece of shit from the freepers (their points are so fucking wrong anyway) or siding with them attacking it... I choose to defend it if I'm forced.

What I also hate is the fact that, OK now it's passed, we have to start making it work!!!
FIRST... make it happen YESTERDAY!

I see no justification whatsoever why this law has to wait to be enacted.

a good portion of it should start yesterday, retroactive for a year (that might save a few lives I hope)

Other bits can be enacted at a "natural" pace (like mandates.. what BS)

but.. o m f g!

these people don't know what in the hell they are talking about. The listen to Fox, rush and the rest too much to have first hand knowledge of what is really going on in this country.... especially the post "we can't afford do let another liberal get in office"..I still can't figure that one out.

26. There was an SNL skit years back where the Church Lady pointed this out.
I can't find the video online, but here is the transcript:

Church Lady: Hello, I'm the Church Lady, and this is "Church Chat". Well, you know, the holiday season has arrived. And, with it, a little letter from Toledo, Ohio. Let's read that, shall we?

< reading > "Dear Church Lady: I am shocked at the number of people who bring their children to total strangers in Santa suits, and allow them to hold their young ones firmly on their pelvic regions, offer them candy and whisper, 'Don't be afraid to tell me what you really want!' What causes this mass hysteria?" Signed, Elaine.

Well, Elaine, let's examine thew word "Santa", shall we? < holds up board with "SANTA" spelled across it in removeable letters > Santa. Let's see, what have we got here? We've got an S and an A, an N, a T, and another A. Hmm.. < rearranges the letters > Who could be causing all those laps to bounce up and down curiously? Who would help grown men peel the focus from the baby Jesus on his birthday? Who could it be, I just don't know. Could it be.. < echo > Satan!! < the letters now spell "SATAN" >

Alright, and now, speaking about bouncing up and down curiously, let's welcome my first guest, Jessica Hahn.
