That phrase seems to be repeated in every nooz report/discussion about the committee process coming up.
This makes me think ......
Is this based on actual reporting/honest speculation or a white house talking point?
Was this the plan all along or is it damage control based on the criticism that has been leveled?

look at the number of postings HERE from the Corporate Chorale, just this morning. Some of them are diabetes-inducing.
I'll give this admin something -- on revising history they ARE aggressively quick. It's breathtaking to watch.

He wants to have this issue resolved as a victory so he can vaunt it in his State of the Union speech. He's also aware that Americans are pissed off right now.
I think 2010 is going to be even tougher for all of us than 2009. And it'll be just as tough on Obama. I hope circumstances bring out the progressive in everyone because the old 'fixes' aren't going to work. The world has to think outside the box now.

10. do you really think the president would NOT be very involved? |
|
this is his signature piece of legislation and will be a major component of his re-election campaign.
moreover, presidents are usually very involved in conference committee activity, especially presidents who came out of congress.
