Joseph Lieberman's Contempt for Muslims is a Discredit to the United States.
Enough already. Joe Lieberman really doesn't like Muslims. The entire world understands that. We got the message.

Unfortunately, Lieberman uses the stature and microphone of the U.S. Senate to voice his anti-Muslim sentiment to a global stage.

And his rhetoric is becoming dangerous and harmful to our nation. He does not speak for this country, but more and more, the world believes that he does.

Senator Joseph Lieberman in the last eight years has gone where no other national leader has; he has called for direct military action and invasion against five Muslim nations.

He called for the invasion of Afghanistan.

He was among the first to call for the invasion of Iraq.

He raised eyebrows when he called for military action against Syria.

He has called for military action and suggested even invasion of Iran.

He now is calling for even more military action against Yemen.

Soon there will not be a Muslim nation where Lieberman is not on the record with his saber rattling calling for war against their people.

This is not good for the United States.

This is not good for President Obama.

This is not good for our young men and women in the Armed Forces.

For the love of God, someone please tell this fucker to keep his hatred of Muslims and his desire to make war against them to himself.

17. What about Obama? He's the one that authorized ramping up the wars overseas.
Of course, in your world, Obama is as pure as the driven snow. :eyes:

Suggesting we attack a strong ally like Israel would be reason for a congressman to resign, whether he be Muslim, Christian, or Jewish

21. Seriously, Israel doesn't attack innocent Americans. Nor the Swiss,
or Hindus. Or Menonites. or the Dutch. Or Eskimos. This is why nobody has suggested invading Austrailia, and why there would be trouble if somebody suggested invading Austrailia, because Austrailians haven't been blowing up our planes or sawing off Americans heads on TV.

25. Actually, Israel fired on one of our ships--and I believe some of our people died in
Edited on Mon Dec-28-09 09:25 AM by tblue37
that act of aggression--and those acts were government policy, not the acts of renegades, as is often (though certainly not always) the case with Muslim terrorism. Israel is not totally innocent. You can't assume any government of any country is ever innocent, because the people who manage to get into power in any country do so because they like wielding power--almost always for their own benefit, not the benefit of those they govern.

the Peoples' Republic of Westport (and elsewhere on the Gold Coast) hadn't spent so much time hanging 'round Oscars, plotting to set up young Lamont against Joe in the first place ---

he'd still be a Democrat, and far less bitter and butthurt than he is today.

He didn't have to be an ass, the liberals made him do it.

That doesn't fly in a court in the Hague, and it won't fly here.

You get what I'm saying?

22. Lieberman, who got elected in the first place by defeating a *more liberal* Republican incumbent?
He's always been a RW Dem, that I can see.

And people in supposedly left-wing parties are quite capable of being RW warmongers and pursuing their RW aims *even* when they are given everything they want and made leaders of their parties and given totally disproportionate power. I should know, after 10 years of Blair.

8. Lieberman is a neocon, and he's still pushing the "7 Countries in 5 Years" that Gen. Wes Clark
spoke about. All part of the PNAC agenda. Lieberman is a traitor, period.

13. It's scary that neo-cons still exist...
I had what probably was a naive idea that after the ousting of the Republicans from power, that they'd shrivel up and turn into dust and never bother us again. It's scary that there's people who are still clinging to their dangerous ideology..

30. I'm constantly have to remind people that it is a religion just like whatever they believe in is
most won't accept it but our country was founded on the freedom from religion, freedom of religion, however one wants to put it. Personally I like the former as I'm non-religious.
