The clip they released to CNN and other Western media was embarassing - they shouldn't have bothered.

The rebels are showing up by the tens of thousands or more.
The "pro" rally had maybe 200 people at it.
I could personally turn out more people for a political rally here in Florida.
It was a teabagger rally - teeny tiny "crowd" - that is being vastly over represented.

The pro folks are provincials they bus in from outside of Tehran. True yokels. That massecre that happened a last summer when pro-current regime started pouring out of a mosque to assault protestors...he said something simple: "Look at them. Look at the attackers. All male. All rough looking. All provincials. No city folks. Some paid to be there with more money than they would see in a year for a days quashing."
Damned if he wasn't right. THey are a teabagger equivalent...easily led knuckle-dragging rubes who need the money and vote using supersticion.
