The DU unrec bot - does it really exist?

It does not matter what I post, as soon as I post it there is an unrec, <0, before one can even read what was posted.

Not that I care in a general sense, I don't visit the greatest page and recs/unrecs don't have a bearing on my posts personally.

But seriously...is there an unrec bot that just kicks out an unrec based on poster name and such?

Either it exists or there are some people so petty here that they sit alone at their keyboards just waiting on someone they don't like and then pounce to unrec. I would like to think it is just a bot and not that there are people out there that sad and lonely that the only thing they have to do in life is wait to see a post by someone to unrec it.

Then again....there are people on other sites I won't name who spend a part of their life talking about posters here and going through their posts to find reasons to complain (mainly because they don't want to debate an issue so they attack people, pretty sad really and I do feel sorry for them).

Keep unrecc'ing my posts, it flatters me - but it does bother me that there are some people out there who spend their lives ranting and unreccing and posting about me and others. Really? You need some good meds and a hobby....

I wouldn't be surprised if some petty, vengeful poster immediately 'unrecced' any post by someone they didn't agree with or like. I guess it has the potential to make them feel like they've achieved some small internet victory or something.

How some people spend their time sitting around and waiting to unrec something. Even if automatically - my life may not be super adventurous, but I sure don't sit around with my finger on either a rec/unrec button.

I love Nance, JeffR, and others - but don't sit here all day just waiting to rec their threads.

Damned sad to me that some folks live for that sort of thing....

Why? Not this time, but it could have been. How long does it take to click on a thread, read the OP, see what it is about, and click "unrecommend" in response? Ten seconds?

Those who complain about Unrecommend always seem unable to appreciate that it means a different thing to each person. If you want it to mean rejection of you, no one stop you from that perception, but why would you have it?

I recommend topics by you. I also unrecommend topics by you. Am I sane one moment, and mad the next? Don't answer that. It's rhetorical.
