Then he went on to describe himself as a 17th/18th century republican.

Is there a history book no one told me about?

3. I guess the rumors how Lincoln was the first candidate from the fledgling
Republican party were exaggerated.

Around the corner where I grew up there was what my Mom and Dad called a "John Birch House" and they told me to stay away.

I did.

19. Oh gawd no
He was beat by a Democrat in '06. Then he became my county DA (appointed by the precinct chairs to fill a vacancy) and 18 months later he was beat in the GOP PRIMARY by a moderate.

About this time last year, he moved to VA where he is teaching law at Liberty U.

21. Was he referring to "republican" or Republican.
There were people who were republicans back in the 17th/18th centuries. Hell, Rome was a Republic...until they turned it over to their version of the MIC.

22. still an idiot. they called themselves
anti-federalists, and wrote articles against those geniuses who drafted the Federalist Papers. Both groups of docs (available on iPhone with US historical documents app) are well worth a read. And many of the ideas could easily be applied today to our teabagger wars.
