My money's on the plane full of people. Contrary to what movies say, there are very few martial artists in the world that can successfully take on multiple opponents, and then maybe three or four tops, not dozens.

What would an unarmed terrorist do with a hostage on a plane these days? Would the crowd just let him fly the building into a building again? Probably not. I suppose they could force the plane to land in unfriendly territory, but as terrorist tactics go that doesn't really accomplish a whole lot.

The kung fu expert would probably get a blast in the face with a fire extinguisher, and then be shot by a federal air marshal or a pilot authorized to carry a gun. If nobody shoots him, he'd be jumped by a dozen passengers and pummeled into hamburger. Fancy martial arts moves don't work well in very enclosed spaces.
