I just joined DFA. I'm surprised I wasn't already a member
Here's my first journal entry:

I was so pissed in the last few months, I spent about two minutes holding my breath, and saying I was going to take my marbles home. I got over that temper tantrum. Then I realized that I have a good resource right here. I will support primary challenges endorsed by DFA and of course, DFA itself. No more money to the DNC or Organizing For America. If things continue to spiral out of control in the Obama administration, I will support a primary challenge by Howard Dean, but really, I don't think we're anywhere near there yet. If we send a strong enough message in the midterms, Obama will hear it and he's a smart man, he will decide to ditch his wealthy wallstreet investors in favor of the everyman (translation- he will run to the votes for his second 4 years). Then maybe we can get some work done!

NGU,

Terri

4. DFA is a good group - been a member since it was Dean for America
I read information from a dozen sources though. Sometimes I agree with one group, another time I delete their emails immediately. No one source is always right and each has it's own biases.

6. Could you give a good link to their website.
I went to DFA but did not find an active group in my area. At least no one seemed to be posting any news from my area . . . .

I used to go to DFA meetings back in 2004.

7. If we could all agree on one organization to throw all of our weight behind...
DFA would be the best choice.

10. "Obama will hear it and he's a smart man, he will decide to ditch his wealthy wallstreet investors
in favor of the everyman . . ."

Yes, he's a smart man, but he's not going to ditch his wealthy Wall Street investors in favor of us. THAT would be political suicide and he knows it. But it would be nice if he at least veered to the left enough to make a difference.

Good points about DFA. Don't forget PDA (Progressive Democrats of America) at pdamerica.org
