Police: Angry McNugget fan punched window

TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Ohio police said a woman who allegedly punched through a McDonald's drive-thru window was angry at the restaurant for being out of chicken nuggets.

Toledo police said Melodi Dushane, 24, allegedly punched through the window Friday after the drive-thru attendant told her chicken nuggets were not currently available, WNWO-TV, Toledo, reported Monday.

Dushane received treatment for injuries to her hand at Mercy St. Charles Hospital and was charged with felony vandalism.

The woman, who was released from Lucas County Jail on her own recognizance, pleaded not guilty to the charge and is due back in court Jan. 28.

2. What the hell is it about McDonald's that people keep losing it there?
Are the McNuggets laced with speed?

3. there;s nothing about mcdonald's except for the fact

that there are SO MANY mcdonalds, that you are going to have more incidents there vs. most other places, because there are more mcdonalds vs. (for example) arby's, etc.

kind of like the "going postal" myth. people believed that postal workers were disproportionately inclined to going nutso and shooting their workplace up. actually, when you looked at the # of incidents while taking into account the # of post offices and postal employees, it was actually much less likely to have a worker "go postal" than many other types of businesses.

5. As someone who has worked in the "service sector"
I can tell you it mostly stems from middle class people who believe they are "better" than the employee "serving" them and believe they can treat them with whatever abuse they see fit.... up to and including violence and threats.

9. In a city the size of Toledo, there had to have been another McDonald's within a 10 minute drive.
Would it really have been that hard to go to a different McDonald's if she wanted McNuggets so badly? It's not like she was in a rural area where driving to another McDonald's would be out of the question...

14. Are they putting crack cocaine in McNuggets now?
Edited on Mon Jan-04-10 07:20 PM by Canuckistanian
Actually, with all those cryptic ingredients, I wouldn' be surprised if cocaine was 125th on the list.
