White House is investigating whether intel was intentionally withheld re: Flight 253 bomber -Update2

Tonight on Countdown, Richard Wolffe dropped a bombshell (no pun intended) about the situation with the Flight 253 "underpants bomber," Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, by saying that there is a serious question about whether or not there was foul play, information intentionally withheld, and/or conspiracy.

The White House is investigating whether or not the systemic failure was anything more than human error. The questions being asked are -- was this some kind of failure due to internal tensions between intelligence communities? Was information withheld intentionally in order to "make someone look bad?"

Wolffe says that the White House is in very early stages of this investigation.

Olbermann reported that the president will make a statement tomorrow around 4pm.

During the interview with Wolffe on Countdown, he repeated the phrase "cock up or conspiracy?" more than once and made it clear that his information was coming from the White House.

Wolffe was later on Rachel Maddow's show by telephone. His words were a bit calmer this time, but again he said that there is an investigation and that there is a question about whether or not the withholding of information was intentional. He said that there is a lot of finger pointing going on in intelligence community, that the president is really "steamed" and that there is a line of inquiry that goes to the heart of why this wasn't shared...

1. Good! Maybe the Obama administration will be the one that unthreads the BFEE/Cheney ponytail of evil
(Sorry, I'm rather tired, so my metaphor creator is doing a pretty shitty job, but I hope you all understand what I meant by that)

and shine the light on the bare scalp of power. What lurks there may terrify us.

6. "..may not necessarily be malicious, but may be more political..?'"
These are wormy words. It is despicable, murderous, treacherous and criminal. It doesn't matter if it is political. Politics kills. I hate it when the word 'politics' is used as an excuse for crimes!

18. I think Pres. Obama will take no prisoners...
I imagine he will tell them, in no uncertain terms, that the time for games is over. No more pissing contests between agencies - including foreign ones like Masada & Scotland Yard, etc. ALL terrorist intel shared & compiled in one list in real time. Brilliant people monitoring it 24/7. Use of state-of-the-art technology & the best IT people to use it. If anyone/anything sounds even a little bit hinky, NO FLY, NO VISA, NO ENTRY. Period.

Leon Panetta may have to go. TSA has to get a Director NOW.

You've got to watch out for these quiet types. As I've said before... anyone who 'misunderestimates' our President, does so at their own risk. There's a reason VP Biden says "he has steel in his spine."

21. Either way, there is NO excuse.
Blathering about the size of the databases and the number of names won't cut it with anyone who's worked in the field. You could have millions of names with biographies and pictures popping up on a computer screen almost as fast as you can type the name. Even something as small as an IPOD could hold that much data. Wikipedia is an excellent example of what is possible. The various alphabet agencies simply aren't trying or cooperating with each other.

It's all, still, about competition for anti-terror funds - and, possibly, about continuing the false-flag attacks to keep that money flowing.

28. Here's an interview to read:
Flight 253 passenger Kurt Haskell: 'I was visited by the FBI'
By Aaron Foley
December 31, 2009

-snip

Please note that there is a very easy way to verify the veracity of my prior "sharp dressed man" account. Dutch police have admitted that they have reviewed the video of the "sharp dressed man" that I referenced. Note that it has not been released anywhere, You see, if my eye witness account is false, it could easily be proven by releasing the video. However, the proof of my eyewitness account would also be verified if I am telling the truth and I am. There is a reason we have only heard of the video and not seen it. dutch authorities, "RELEASE THE VIDEO!" This is the most important video in 8 years and may be all of two minutes long. Show the entire video and "DO NOT EDIT IT"! The American public deserves its own chance to attempt to identify the "sharp dressed man". I have no doubt that if the video indicated that my account was wrong, that the video would have already swept over the entire world wide web.
