Josh Marshall | January 5, 2010, 1:05AM

For those of you missed it, this is one of our articles today that I really got a kick out of. Why has Michele Bachmann suddenly gone mum on bashing the census and telling people not to participate? It turns out that Minnesota is right on the cusp of losing one of its House seats. And the most logical outcome of an undercount of state residents would be to eliminate Bachmann's seat in Congress.

Self-interest, all-powerful, can even defeat the Crazy ...

2. Then let's keep quoting her so her constituents will not fill out the forms!
And all the libs in her district should get hired as census takers and slack off so that her district is seriously undercounted!

7. No, I'd like to keep our eight seats, thanks.
She'll be gone someday, and I'd rather not have MN go down to seven seats in the House.

9. OMG, she represents you? That must be painful!!
I'm surprised you were willing to admit it. Kind of like confessing to having butt boils!

10. No, I'm in another district. But her seat could be important someday; I can see no gain to my state
losing a seat.

11. Of course you are 100% right
It's just funny to see Bachman saw off the branch high up in the monkey tree that she's standing on!

8. There's plenty of video available. We don't need to quote her. All we need
to do is show her saying those things with her own mouth.

3. In Central Texas they're urging people to fill out the census
I saw on the Waco-Killeen news that the area mayors are urging people to fill out their census so they can get more federal dollars and increase their representation in Congress.

Where are the tea partiers now?

4. Someone at TPM.....
...in one of the comments on this issue, suggested that her anti-census pronouncements should be adverted on the teevee and with robocalls in her district. Particularly those states which stand to gain MN's seat!

- Yuck-yuck.....

5. I guess someone showed her
the results of people in her district not filling out the census. Boy wouldn't that be nice. She kicked her own self out.

I hope she convinces all her neighbors (and district) to avoid the census.

She can have a Teabagger Census Strike!
