3. I also did not know that Ritter was a "rising Democratic star"
I guess only Joey Scar can resign for "family reasons" and have it be believable.

And not only is the show going to turn into Joe the Republican Strategist, Mika's book promotion, but now it will include Harold Ford Jr's campaigning? Gross.

4. This is I'm not running week so is next week
Joe is scum, but this is generally what occurs every January before an election. People who think their chances are not there, drop out, so other candidates can raise money for the primary or general election.

5. Don't know what "Joe" said... but it's pretty clear why he's leaving
He was about to get his rear end kicked.

Whether you think he was afraid to lose, or (my position) that he was loyal enough to his party that he wanted to give us a chance to win, it's pretty obvious that "health" isn't the primary reason.

6. I think that is why he is retiring.
It is a shame that these cable and TV programs don't have a public forum so there can be comments to what they spew on their shows. How come he didn't mention there are as many if not more republicans retiring this election cycle.
