Thank you Senator Christopher Dodd!
Say what you will, he knew the seat would switch if he stayed in, and he did what was best for not only the party, but his state and this country...now, Blumenthal will jump in and keep that worthless Repuke Rob Simmons out. This was a rare act of political courage and foresight when what we've seen the last year is pretty much the exact opposite from our Democratic elected leaders. Thank you Senator Dodd!

1. Very happy he's stepping down.
It was time. I will gladly vote for the DEM now. I wasn't going to vote for Dodd. Wasn't going to vote for the repuke but def. not for DOD. Wasn't sure how I was going to vote in that race. Now I know, for Dickie B!!

3. Simmons makes me want to puke. And we already had to get rid of him once.
I hope Blumenthal wins this one.
I did like Dodd but he had a lot of personal baggage to overcome and that just was not happening.

5. Simmons always barely squeaked in...he was leading in the polls
so far since he people would only vote for him because he wasn't Dodd.

6. True. I don't see how a failed former Rep would win over a good candidate.
I bet the CT GOP is not too happy today.
