Gilbert Arenas was suspended indefinitely by the NBA for
having guns in his locker at the Verizon Center. He also 'played' with them when arguing about a bet with another player. All he did was cross state lines into one of the strictest areas as far as gun ownership goes. Agent Zero named himself well.

On top of that, Commissioner David Stern dissed him. Stern said Arenas was "not currently fit to take the court."

Stern is pissed, and I don't blame him. Arenas doesn't need to even own a gun if that's what he does with them. The only thing he didn't do was shoot somebody or himself. I'm not sure when Arenas will be back.

1. The NBA has had rules in place concerning weapon possession at NBA properties and events...
for quite some time. That they should need to have rules like that says a lot about the caliber (pun intended) of NBA players.

2. An NFL player on ESPN
said that every team had a session before the season began about weapons. Somebody went over all the rules for the area and the league. They were told about the laws for each jurisdiction such as the state, the city, etc.

I don't know about the NBA doing it like that, but I know the players are told about them. Arenas is beyond stupid. Plaxico Burress isn't too far behind or is it ahead.

3. What Arenas did was stupid
but I still like the guy (he played at the U of Az). Too bad brains don't come with those huge paychecks. He'll be back, and hopefully Stern has sent a message to the NBA. Arenas' suspension will cost him millions.

5. I always liked him too.
Hibachi was a hoot, and he was deadly at the end of a game. He or Big Shot Bob would be the ones I would pick to make a last shot in a game.

He just went too far over the edge. I thought he had better sense than that.

4. At least he wasn't busted with one at an airport like Alan Henderson
or on a plane, like Sebastian Telfair!

6. Ban him for life.
If you or me, or anyone else pulled a gun on someone at work, we'd be fired on the spot, with no hope of getting back.

7. Stupid Beyond Description
Once again we are presented with an over paid thug being held up by the media as being stupid and mistreated by the system when he's caught breaking laws. I hope he gets everything that the average citizen would receive if they got their short hairs in the wringer.

9. really?
I found Donaghy completely unbelievable. He's an admitted liar, but this time we're supposed to believe him?

12. stats
I can make any claim and find stats to back me up. IIRC, he claimed to be right 80% of the time. That's beyond belief.

11. It's common knowledge that the league manipulates some game outcomes.
You can watch a dozen games, and you'll see some game fixing going on. The Lakers might lose? Wait. Kobe to the free throw line. Kobe fouls someone, but he goes to the line.

Dick Bavetta is considered by many fans to be the league's premiere game fixer. This has been going on ten years.

Donaghy is a jerk, but his story rings true. Anyone can watch the playoff game in which Dick Bavetta assured that the Kings would not eliminate the Lakers in 2002 by giving the Lakers 27 free throws in the fourth quarter.

The NBA should be investigated for game fixing. It's only a couple clicks over from being the World Wrestling Federation. Some outcomes can be known ahead of time.
