"The appetite for high level firings is diminishing"
MSNBC reporter speaking live on air about the ScrotoBomber aftermath. The rest of the discussion was that white house officials have taken firings off the table.

So .... no heads will.

1. Taking Responsibility
Did you really expect anyone to be axed?

Like Pelosi said, Obama was for a lot of things during the campaign, not so much now that he's in the seat of power!

3. I feel like an idiot. Never could I have judged one politician so wrong.

I guess it's not wise to get your hopes up when it comes to any politician ... but I was so HAPPY and EXCITED about the democratic party back then.

Still, I will endure the put-downs from the corporate democrats and continue to BELLY-UP at the polls to vote "the democratic party line."

The democratic leadership is corrupt and corporate but they aren't Bat Shit Insane like the ENTIRE GOP.

What I envision when I hear a Republican Leader speak:

I know it would be hell on earth if republicans controlled either the Executive Branch or The Congress but that doesn't detract from my SADNESS and profound disappointment in President Obama and ALL the Democratic Leadership in Congress over the course of the past year. :(

4. Not for me. Somebody didn't do their job. Whomever was responsible
for seeing to it that that guy was put on the no fly list should be fired.

5. Ah ..... but was a systemic problem ......
..... I'm not sure what to do because I don't know who fucked up.

I suspect no will ever know the truth. We'll get a strongly worded speech and maybe some strongly worded admonitions. But we'll never know what happened because if we know, the terrorist would also know .... or have won .... or whatever .......

6. For 8 years I watched Bush not fire anybody. Did he send the right message?
Oh yeah, he did withdraw Meyer's nomination from the Supreme Joke because that Ayatolla at Focus on the Family said so. So there you go: What counted for bush is what the false religion folks want.

8. If I were President, the one and ONLY element to whom I would be a shameless ...

suck-up and in total adoration of ---> would be "The Secret Service." After it was ANNOUNCED that three uninvited guests slipped through the rope lines while the highest levels of Obama's Protocol Staff were distracted and busy schmoozing with the other dignitaries, instead of allowing the PRESS to blame the Secret Service, as President, I would have closed-ranks in their defense.

That is, when given a choice between loyalty to my friends from Chicago who run my Protocol and Visitor's Lists and The Secret Service Agents tasked to keep me and my beloved family safe, I'd ALWAYS choose the latter.

I'm profoundly disappointed that the Obamas did not fire the head of their Protocol Branch who clearly screwed up by not being "in the mix" of incoming visitor screening stations instead of socializing with the high level guests.
