Yet another mother kills her child

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/149100

The Tempe mother of a missing 8-month-old boy told Logan Scott McQueary, her boyfriend and the baby’s father, via cell phone and text message that she had killed their son, according to a Maricopa County Superior Court document.

“Before she left, she told me I was never going to see the baby again,” said McQueary, who has known Johnson since middle school. “I was scared when she first said it. When she told me she killed the baby, I tried not to believe the message. I didn’t want to believe it. I don’t know what makes her tick or why she would do this to me. When she had the baby, she was happy.”

Johnson also stated that the child, Gabriel Scott Johnson, was in a dumpster in a baby bag, and she described the baby as dead and blue colored. She also told McQueary that she was going to leave the United States, and she would tell him where the body was when she was gone, according to the court document.

McQueary earlier had filed an order of protection against Johnson in Tempe Municipal Court because he said he was afraid Johnson would hurt him and Gabriel, but the order was later dismissed after McQueary tried to work things out with Johnson, McQueary stated in the court document. In the July incident, McQueary told police Johnson tore apart a baby crib, took a knife and cut up baby clothes, McQueary’s clothes and the couch, and smashed windows of the apartment and a television set. In another incident, Johnson later hid Gabriel but accused McQueary of taking him, according to a request for custody of the child McQueary filed with the Maricopa County Superior Court on Dec. 11. The baby was found hours later at the home of one of Johnson’s friends after police conducted a search for him.

The dad is also responsible for staying with her and not doing more to protect his son.

4. They aren't positive he's dead yet.
She has told them several different stories about what she did with the child. Hopefully, he is still alive.

6. Parenthood makes you a better, more mature, and less selfish person.
I've been told this on DU many times.

For others, not so much.

9. I don't think the child is dead.
A couple here in Phoenix wanted to adopt the child and took care of him for a short time in Dec. I saw an interview with them on GMA yesterday and they didn't seem very concerned about where the child is nor did they ask for his return. I suspect they know where the child is and they are not saying.

10. I thinks so too. She obviously needs help--but has also
been negotiating with the potential adoptees, so I wonder.

15. I don't think they have any clue where the child is.
If they knew where the child was, somehow I doubt they'd be giving interviews.

11. what a messed up situation and no one knows for sure where the child is
that is just pathetic.

and if she was that batshit nuts back in July did he file a police report then? the article doesn't say so? and if she didn't want the child why didn't she give him to the father and did the father ask for full custody?

the whole situation appears to be a big mess and i only hope she just gave the kid to someone and that they will find him.

12.  Would you tell a woman the same thing?
BShe destroyed their apartment, the baby's crib, and beat the dad.

13. Is it 10 to 1? For every child a woman kills, a man kills 10? Or is it more like 100 to 1? nt

14. Once upon a time we did not hear of every bad thing that happened anywhere in the country
within moments of its occurrence. That is what gives it the appearance of happening more frequently than we once thought it did.

When something bad happens with children that cannot easily be explained the first suspects which the police look at are invariably the parents or parent. Why? Because unlike the stranger in the black sedan, parents are the people most likely to harm their own children.
