I know it's still almost two weeks away, but I'd like to know how bendy the mods will be for passionate DUers. Yes, I'm concerned for myself lol.

2. it is interesting (and sad) that the Truth has become controversial since Obama took office
I would like to see the mods keep an open mind for those of us who prefer truth over party. :)

6. If he/she, sorry ixion didn't check, finds factual information
Wouldn't that support their "biased" truth?

13. The truth has always been controversial. Every time I present facts that support the president

7. It will go down in DU history as the great Tombstone purge of '10.
I will tell my grandchildren about it and they will promptly ignore me. LOL

9. My recommendation, and I will follow it,
is to withhold comment during the SOTU. Just listen to it, and make notes, if you wish. Then, once the speech is finished, comment as much as you wish.

What I have noticed during speeches is that posters who write during the speech don't really hear it. They comment on sentences and phrases, but don't actually hear the speech in its entirety.

11. Excellent post.

It might even be a good idea to suspend posting in GD and LBN during the SOTU, and maybe for 15 minutes afterward.

14. I wouldn't reccomend that. If people can multi-task then let them
And as far as criticizing certain sentences instead of waiting for the whole speech, I think there's room for real time comments. The SOTU address will more than likely be done in different segments (foreign policy, domestic, health care, economy etc.). We have to do something during the thirty second applause breaks.

15. I wouldn't go that far at all. I don't care if people comment
during the speech, but I won't be reading any live threads. In fact, I'll wait until the transcript comes out before posting.

12. I'm not a great live blogger so that's probably what I'll do.
It was easier with Bush, because you knew everything out of his mouth was going to be ludicrous.
