So you think only the Radical Islamist crowd can't take a joke?

You would be wrong.

An American cartoonist is getting death threats today for daring to make fun of the Teabaggers.

On his website, he says...

"The death threats keep coming this fine morning. I guess the Tea Party crew is determined to have “death panels” one way or another. The dustup started because of this cartoon:"

Gosh. Doesn't really seem like he deserves it.

What do you think? Will we come to his defense?

He is one of the best political cartoonists we have in this country.

Consistently hilarious and spot on. He also doesn't shy away from controversy, choosing instead to engage in discussion with people who he doesn't agree with.

To all of you who have written emails and comments, I really wish I could respond to every one of you. I truly appreciate your taking the time to write, even if we may be on different sides of the political fence. If there is one thing that my politically mixed San Francisco/Idaho background has taught me, it is benefit of continuing a discussion even if you don’t agree. Too often these days, the Left and the Right immediately shut down if you are deemed to be from the opposing camp. Here’s to good discussion even if we don’t agree.

Now please don’t kill me :-)

3. I had an uncle who was a methodist minister

in charge of a certain district in Ms. When one of the ministers in his district was concerned because of a death threat that that minister had recieved from the KKK, my uncle said that he was just glad that one of the ministers in his district had enough courage of his convictions that somebody wanted to kill him for it. BTW, my uncle got quite a few death threats himself during the 60s

4. Surprised? Why? when Tea Baggers want to tell an entire nation:

They want the biggest government EVER: one that tells you what to believe, whom to marry, whom it is Right to Kill and when, what your values should be, what your morals should be, what your private sexual preferences should be, what future you should work toward, whom you should work for, which Race is Human and which is less than human. . . . .

I can't think of a single thing that Tea Baggers don't want to control.

It's profoundly WEIRD how folks sooooooooooooooooo concerned about "strength" are sooooooooooooooooo fracking NEEDY that they can tolerate absolutely NO differences.

Their understanding of Freedom seems to be "I am not free unless EVERYONE either agrees with me or at least poses no disagreement."

Everything they say contradicts what I remember as the real values that this particular "woman of a certain age" was raised to know as "American."

Though some of their superficial persona appeals, I will give NO support/approval to that which makes them what they are.

11. Teabaggers are violent, ignorant, hateful and selfish

and they need to be held accountable for their crap.

They deluged my Blue Dog Congress rep with death threats. He has now decided to retire and not run again in November. So they won here.
