New Public Relations Office Opens in Alaska with Quasi-Celebrity Ties: BSMP was Founded By Sarah Palin's Eldest Daughter Bristol


A new PR shop has opened in Anchorage, notable only because its founder and owner continues to face some sizeable PR issues in her personal life. The new firm, BSMP LLC, is a single-member limited liability corporation that has been set up by the 19-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin. Bristol Palin signed documents filed with the state Commerce Department as the firm's organizer. Besides her mother's fame, Bristol has also been a newsmaker in her own right.

During the 2008 presidential election, Bristol's relationship with Levi Johnston and impending birth of her child outside of wedlock became a media circus because of Sarah Palin's vocal position on traditional families, Bloomberg News reports. Bristol and Johnston are now broken up, and Bristol is clearly moving on.

Running a PR agency is hard enough without the challenges of politically-fueled fame, especially those tied to such a polarizing figure. We wish Bristol the best of luck in her endeavor.
