State Of The Union: Not On Feb. 2, Won't Preempt "Lost"

February 2 had seemed like a logical date for the State of the Union address, as it would give House and Senate Democrats more time to work out a final deal on health care. But according to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, it won't happen on that day--meaning, for any who were worried about it and don't have DVR, that the State of the Union won't coincide with the final-season premiere of "Lost," which will allegedly begin the laborious process of answering a series of intricate questions about the space/time continuum that have been raised over the past five years.

"I don't foresee a scenario in which millions of people that would hope to finally get some conclusion in 'Lost' are preempted by the president," Gibbs said today.

unless a plane carrying President Palin traveling to Russia encounters a time vortex and is transported back to 2009, and crashes in Hawaii destroying the Brith Certificate Repository. Hmmmm.....

I predict that this year, it will be given on the first Tuesday after HCR is signed, unless it's signed on a Tuesday. In that case, it will be given the same evening.
