Perhaps that's why he doesn't understand the dynamics of what you are speaking of -- he is "Mixed" in his mind but most of the world thinks of him as Black.

PS/ As African Americans we were/are thrilled that the world thinks of him as one of us! So now,we must also claim him as "one of us" that is having problems.

He's just a golfer. He cheated on his wife. For all we know, they were having marriage difficulties already. Maybe she had cheated on him. I really don't think he should have his life ruined because he cheated with a bunch of women. Is cheating with ten women really worse than cheating with one? Hasn't the trust and bond of marriage been violated just as badly when someone cheats with one person?

I certainly don't want to perpetuate this belief that cheating on your spouse is OK as long as you're rich/famous/popular and I don't want my son to believe that.

Oh - and if someone is having marriage difficulties, cheating is the last thing one should do to remedy them. Divorce first (or don't marry at all) if you plan to cheat on a spouse who believes you are in a marriage to be faithful. (Note: truly open marriages do not fall under this cateory. There is no betrayal of trust if you've agreed to this beforehand).

And, yes, cheating once is cheating a thousand times.

In fact, that is how the story started. One mistress named in the Enquirer. No one really paid attention until the car crash and tabloid and online reports from sources (most likely one of his mistresses) who claim he was attacked by his wife because of his infidelity. Then the mistresses start talking publicly and it just snowballed from there. One is planning a tell all book. The additional mistresses and their willingness to talk in addition to conflicting reports about what happened that night have made the story FAR more salacious than it would have been otherwise. I would say that if not for the car crash, the Enquirer story would have ended up buried and the woman named in that piece would have continued to deny the story in exchange for financial compensation. She's being compensated anyway which does not make much sense to me unless she has information that could be more damaging than what we already know. The problem is that the story could not be contained. Michael Jordan was able to keep his infidelity from becoming public knowledge for years at the peak of his career. I think Tiger would have been able to do the same if not for the way the story unfolded.
