What do those who pull our strings want?

MORE.

MORE. It’s why Iran and Afghanistan are in our cross hairs.

MORE. It’s why we don’t have affordable health care.

MORE. It’s why Wall Street is not regulated.

MORE. It’s why credit card interest rates are beyond insane.

MORE. It’s why most politicians are owned by the string pullers.

MORE. It’s why most of the media are owned by the string pullers.

MORE. It’s why America’s jobs have been shipped elsewhere.

MORE. It’s why most who still have jobs are struggling.

MORE. It’s why funds for education have been cut.

MORE. It’s why taxes for the Haves have been cut.

MORE. It’s why we pay three dollars for a tomato.

MORE. It’s why our country is teetering on the edge of a cliff.

MORE. Will they ever get enough? --- What do you think?

1. They will never get enough.
Anyone who thinks that the elites are benign overlords needs to read up on Latin American history.

5. Welcome to DU, gopwacker
Actually, I don't think that possessing "every single penny" would be enough for them. They'd find a way to use our emaciated bodies to generate even MORE.

7. They want a slave population
just pacified enough by religion, fear and other distractions to do their bidding. People think they are free,
they are not. Freedom is an illusion. Just try to buck the system once and you'll find out.

14. I asked myself a few months back something similar.
What is it about man's nature that makes him need to be a conquerer? The weapons now are more diverse, but that's what we're talking about here isn't, dominance?

There is an old saying something about all men being created equal and the problem being what is coveted is a status of more than equal. To be introduced to the notion of a god, it seems to me leaves some of mankind unsatisfied until they feel like they can view themselves as gods among men.

15. I'm not sure it's a "God complex."
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 12:56 PM by Cyrano
Wanting MORE is probably the basic nature of extreme greed. We all want something, but very few want everything that exists. And even if they got it, they'd still want MORE. To me, that sounds like some kind of mental disorder.

But it doesn't sound like any of the various versions of "God" in which many humans believe.
