ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said Pakistan places highest premium on strategic cooperation with China and hopes to further strengthen relations between the two neighbours.
Gilani was talking to China’s Deputy Chief of the People’s Liberation Army General Staff, General Ma Xiaotian, who called on him at the PM House today.
The Prime Minister thanked China for its assistance in development of Pakistan's vital national defence projects.
He reiterated Pakistan’s complete support to China on Taiwan and Tibet. He also said that the government has made foolproof security arrangements for the Chinese nationals in Pakistan.
General Ma Xiaotian said China attaches high priority to its relations with Pakistan and efforts will be made to enhance bilateral ties in multi-dimensional fields.
