"Sen. Jim Inhofe says new EPA rules would hurt state’s growth"
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 10:41 PM by TomCADem
Fresh off being chosen as one of Rolling Stone's top "Climate Killers," Republican Senator James Inhofe attacked the EPA's proposed smog standards:

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe warned those so-called "nonattainment” counties would face restrictions on economic growth and development.

"This is not the time to do that sort of thing,” the Oklahoma Republican said, pointing to the ongoing economic woes that are worse in other areas of the country.

"The Obama administration’s proposal, if finalized, will keep unemployment high and put another Washington-based regulation in the way of economic recovery.”

4. While you were not too polite about it you hit the nail on the head.
Oklahoma's growth industry is usually from oil.

2. So now is the wrong time
When things are going good is the wrong time. Tell me, Sen. Dummkopf-er, Inhofe, when is the right time to quit shitting our own beds? You didn't seem particularly perturbed all through the Bush years when employment numbers were fading month after month after month? Now all of a sudden you're worried about unemployment? Up yours, Jim.

8. It is a shame something didn't hurt his growth in politics.
Did you know that he got his start do to a democrat. He had an insurance business which was run into the ground (sound familiar) He was about to be indicted. When the great democrat I think his name was Alberts or something similar sounding took him under his wing. How he ever went from Democrat to Republican I don't know. I think it was because the Democrat field was too crowded for him to get anywhere, hence he became a republican. Another republican saved from being arrested for stealing people's money.
