Totally Irresponsible Of McCain, His People & The Repugs To Pick Palin As Running Mate.....

In the book "Game Change" McCain's people clearly did not like Sarah Palin and didn't think she was qualified to be VP let alone take over the Presidency should McCain not be able to finish his term.

I heard one of McCain's staffers say that she was picked because they needed to do something dramatic if they even thought they had an glimmer of a chance at winning.

I sit back and think - what if they did win? It could have happened. What then?

They knowingly picked someone that was unqualified to potentially wind up as the President. That is totally irresponsible on their part and I don't know how we as Americans can tolerate that.

This - in my mind - borders as treason.

I mean look at the treats that this country faces and they went out and picked somebody that could further endanger us.

Bush II was incompetent enough - but Palin?

There has got to be a better process for picking our potential leaders.

That is, that we have McCain to blame for the fact that Palin has a seat on the "national" political stage, when she could've remained up on the frozen tundra with only Alaskans having to deal with her shit (sorry Alaska!). The choice was awful and merely served as further confirmation that the grumpy old man was not fit to make decisions that were in our country's best interests - only to further his own political ambitions.

2. More cynical than irresponsible IMO.

All they saw was a fairly attractive, outspoken woman with five children, a devout Christian, who would be Madison Avenue material to win votes that otherwise would not be cast for McCain. She would be submissive (remember, she is a devout Christian), get them elected, and then do photo ops while McCain ran the country. Nobody seriously considered her to say or do anything as far as policy or McCain NOT finishing his two terms. She was considered a brand, not a candidate.

3. IMO, the whole GOP is guilty of treason.

They should all be lined up in front of a firing squad and eliminated for the good of the country.

Every fucking one of them! It could be done on the Mall in DC, with hundreds of thousands in attendance, and huge video screens so nobody would miss any of the fun.

5. What is scary is that they don't even realize what they are saying.

The repugs are all about winning and nothing else. What I think is ironic is that I think McCain would have won if he picked a non lunatic as VP.
