It seems nonsensical to me. Why couldn't the Taliban be made of a lot of different ethnicities? It's like trying to prove fundamental Christians could have been Catholics at one time.

an interesting bit of scientific knowledge that the Semitic genes (as settled tribal peoples) expanded that far from the Horn of Africa. considering the old Jewish kingdoms around Tashkent and Samarkand, this is unsurprising, though. it would also be neat to determine how much of Greek genetics (the Scythians) are still remaining around Afghanistan as well.
