New CNN poll taken January 8-10:

How much confidence do you have in the Obama administration to protect U.S. citizens from future acts of terrorism?

Great deal - 24%
Moderate amount - 41%
Not much - 19%
Not at all - 16%

So... 65% think highly of the President. When CNN asked this same question about Bush in 2006:

Great deal - 22%
Moderate amount - 37%
Not much - 23%
Not at all - 18%

Also in the current poll:

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama handled the 12/25/2009 terrorist incident?

Approve: 57%
Disapprove: 39%

So... the GOP might want to rethink their strategy of playing politics with terror. The American people trust Obama more with respect to terrorism than they trusted Bush.. And Obama's approval ratings with respect to the 12/25 incident are higher than his overall approval ratings.

Dick and Rudy... if you don't mind... can you two gentlemen keep talking? The more publicly the better...
