KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- The mother of a two-year-old Monroe County girl and the mother's boyfriend have been arrested in connection to the girl's severe abuse.

The little girl's father, Joseph Tillman, learned of his daughter's life threatening injuries when he got a call from a Monroe County detective. 6 News is not using her name.

Tillman was told his daughter had been rushed to UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

"I didn't make it 10 feet from her bed and I fell to my knees because I saw all of the bruises on her back. As I walked to her, I noticed from the top of her scalp to the bottom of her feet was bruised. There was not a spot on her body that wasn't bruised," Tillman says.


Aside from the bruising, doctors have told Tillman his toddler suffered head injuries that caused swelling of the brain. She also has a broken pelvis. He says she has little movement in her right arm.

These two maggots need to be taken out back beaten to within an inch of their lives... then beat a little more. They are going to have a real rough time in jail.. I can promise you that.

I come from a different world than most of you here... I've gotten myself locked up before, just to get to someone in the jail... believe me, there are people here in my town that will do the same thing. This happened in the next town over from me, and there's something to be said about small town jails. These maggots may not make it to trial....
