I heard that John Mellencamp is playing Walter Reed

I was in the auto earlier and had the radio on a local "Classic Rock" station and the DJ said something about Mellencamp doing a televised show from Walter Reed Hospital. She said it was supposed to be televised on HDtv or something like that, and that Mellencamp is doing it to honor the troops and not because he is suddenly pro war. I think it's a great idea. What are the "support the troops" people doing? At least Mellencamp is putting his money where his mouth is, so to speak. I think it's in USA Today, in case anyone wants a link. And if this is a dupe, I apologize. Been in and out all day.

Mellencamp is definitely anti-war and an outspoken liberal. His appearance is no different than someone like Robin Williams visiting the troops in Iraq/Afghanistan. They're doing it for the troops, not for King george's failed war.
