Dear Mr. President;
Re: Your Administration
It's taken me awhile, but the genius of your domestic and foreign policy has suddenly become clear.
Your militarism and imperialistic foreign policy; your continued assault on the Constitution while making minor concessions to transparency with disclosure of White House visitor records and Cold War documents irrelevant to the challenges we currently face; your substitution of an insurance industry support bill for a health care reform bill; your concessions to Wall Street at the expense of those on Main Street...
As I said, the genius of your long term plan has only just now become clear to me.
You, like the founders of this nation, are of the opinion that the only hope for long-term representative government and the general welfare of the people is in short-term conflict. You've come to the realization that we've gone beyond the point where the system can be fixed from within. You understand that "better" is waiting on the other side of "much much worse," and you've designed your policies in pursuit of that goal by that path.
I applaud your subtle genius. I think I may slip out of the country and sit out the revolt someplace else, but please don't take that as a rejection of your plan.
Until then, if I happen to meet any rich folks, I promise not to tell them that your apparent support is really all about planting the seeds of their destruction.
You are brilliant!
Regards,
