A TV Game show gives a glimpse of the US
Cash Cab is a TV game show, it takes place in a cab riding around New York City. Its sort of a mini Jeopardy on wheels, but with easier questions and a lot less money.

As each segment opens unsuspecting fares load into the cab to soon be jolted by noise and flashing lights. They invariably jump at the commotion and say something amusing, then the show goes on.

So that's how it works, now, picture this. The cab stops and three young people pile in. There are two black men who appear to be in their mid to late 20's accompaning an attractive young woman, possibly Indian. As usual there is the noise, lights, and confusion. Then Host tells them they are on a game show. The young lady looks at the camera and says (paraphrase) "Oh, I wondered why you stopped for a couple of black guys". She really did look quite surprised.

Anyone who thinks racial prejudice isn't rampant in this country just isn't paying attention.
