... and from the way she lies, gets caught, then changes the lie without skipping a beat, that may well be the case. Shame is apparently not part of her being -- everything that goes wrong is someone else's fault.

Sarah just gets up every morning and slaps on the makeup, poufs up her hairdo, and shimmies into something form-fitting with spandex. As long as her fan-base adores her and FOX pays her the salary of her dreams, all will be well with Sarah's World.

11. I think one of the first things I posted here after McCain picked her

was "Never underestimate Sarah Palin. She is a force to be reckoned with."

A toxic combination of unbounded ambition, unabashed greed, sociopathic lies, narcissism, a weird kind of charisma that the fundy base basks in with an almost religious fervor -- indeed, some see her as the "Queen Esther" for our day. I don't really expect her to run for president, but in her new, more visible position, she can preach her brand of subversion to the faithful. And if things don't start improving for Joe and Jane America, she will have an ever-stronger influence, whether we like it or not. She has the capability to sound quite sane when she wants to; otherwise, how could she have had an 85% approval rating here in Alaska, where she was more popular among Democrats than she was with her own Republican party.

Of course, most of us up here in Alaska have caught on to her game now, but a lot of people haven't. I actually kind of liked the old Sarah persona. Of course, we know now that it was exactly that - a mask, one she put on to gain her own grandiose advantage.

I don't know what it's going to take to bring her down. She's like the Energizer bunny on speed.
