to the top for awhile? It's the Center for International Disaster Information and provides a compiled list of links to various aid organizations for donation/assistance/etc. Whitehouse.gov linked it, so I assume it is a preferred website.

bible thumpers are advertising for donations to help Haiti on DU. I can't help but think that they view this as an opportunity to suck as much money as possible into their proselytizing operation rather than crisis that needs all our help. I would rather donate to most anyone else but them. Doctors Without Borders is a good group. So is Oxfam although I don't know how much they have going in Haiti.

It's important to remember that while there are many organizations that are working diligently to help the survivors there are predatory people who use bogus websites to get people's credit card information, etc.

I am thankful that the White House made this list of legitimate ways that we as individuals can help.

My heart goes out to the people of Haiti. Although it is not much we have already sent off our donation to the Red Cross.

I believe Obama is showing strength and leadership in this time of great crisis. Thank you President Obama.
