Here are some of the more insane posts I found in that thread...

Also, the Messiah of Israel is coming soon and it won't be a pretty picture here in this country...
We just had Christmas -- and a lot of people were thinking about a cute little baby Jesus or a very nice man who said nice things to people, was uplifting, and healed a bunch of people...
What people really need to remember is that there's this "big bad Jewish fellow" out there, who's showing up soon, sorta unexpected, and he's "looking for bear" and is gonna open up "the biggest can of whoop-ass" you've ever seen in your life, on a bunch of people here on earth. LOL...
However, many fail to understand -- but they will "understand" when the Messiah of Israel returns to this earth, sets His feet on the soil of this globe, and sets up the ruling authority -- the one-world government -- that He puts into place over all nations, including the United States.
He's the Messiah of Israel, that He is coming back to earth, to set up a one-world government, with His headquarters in Jerusalem, ruling over all the nations of the world, including the United States and will rule over all who are still alive (from who are living right now today) -- and that He will definitely scrap the Constitution of the United States and make Himself the supreme ruler over all that we do.
The "day of reckoning" is coming for all of those who are trying to take over the world and put it totally under their control in an evil one-world empire. And they do admit that they want a one-world government -- their government, not God's...
When the Messiah of Israel comes back to this earth to set up His one-world government and subject all the nations of the world to His authority and rule -- He'll be making real short work of any of those yahoos...
And you can be sure that He will be utterly destroying anything to do with any of these yahoos, since whatever they say and do is a total perversion of anything to do with the Messiah of Israel.
And for sure -- we all, in this world, need the Messiah of Israel back, here on earth -- to destroy this coming one-world government and to install His own one-world government in its place.
I'm looking forward to the coming Kingdom on earth and the one-world government that the Messiah of Israel will be setting up, after He destroys, by His own hand, the present and evil one-world government that we see forming right now.
Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born.
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

There is a loto f occult religion goes on in Haiti. I wouldn’t be too quick to discount God taking his hand of protection away from it.

Here's something from another thread on this subject...
Exorcizing Boukman
Haiti Progres. “This Week in Haiti,”, Vol.16 no.20, 5-12;11 August 1998
“The origin of the 13-year Haitian revolution is traced to a voudou ceremony held at Bois Caiman, near the northern city of Cap Haitien, on the night of Aug. 13-14, 1791 and presided over by a slave and voudou priest named Boukman.
Now 207 years later, a band of right-wing Protestants has launched an evangelical crusade to posthumously “convert” Boukman to Christianity.
Pastor Berthony Paul, Pastor Joel Jeune, and preacher Gregory Joseph, a former police attache, have threatened to lead their congregations, which they call Haiti Protestant Vision, to Bois Caiman to hold a Protestant service to “exorcise” the spirit of Boukman.
But their crusade so far has been foiled by a coalition of Haitian popular organizations as well as by Haitian authorities. On July 8, the Ministry of Culture issued an order prohibiting the Protestants from assembling in the Bois Caiman area. The three Protestant leaders were arrested on Aug. 2 when trying to defy the order.”

I definitely would not discount it. God's judgment takes place all over this world, as He does judge the nations and the peoples of the world. Haiti has been known by Christian missionaries as a place of darkness in the spiritual realm, which the Bible makes clear to us is the controlling force behind many things that go on in this world. It's the spiritula forces of darkness that hold sway over large portions of this globe.
There's more of this coming down the pike, too, from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Ephesians Chapter 6
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness
in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,
to stand.

Haitians have suffered since the slave population rose up against their oppressors and declared their independence on January 1, 1804. Under the leadership of a witch doctor and slave named Boukman, the French were eradicated and a pact made between the liberators and their voodoo gods.
To this day, an iron statue of a pig stands in Port-au-Prince to commemorate the “Boukman Contract.” Even Aristide, though once a Roman Catholic priest, declared voodoo to be “an essential part of national identity” in March of 2003.1

The Politico says this story is part of the folklore of Haiti...in essence, a story that the Haitians believe is true.
Can nations turn away from God? I think so.
Now, how did Pat Robertson apply such a story to the Haitian people? Did he say “well, that’s how it goes, we can’t help ‘em”? Or did he highlight the efforts to help them and the missionary work that is going on there?
See, it is really easy to take a portion of a show and emphasize it—but was that the point of his coverage, to tell the story of the Haitian people? Or did he want to make an effort to put the tragedies of the people in context and show how they need God?

After the Invasion of Cuba was called off from the Cuban Missile Crisis, my combat assault ship (USS Renville APA 227) went into Port Au Prince for R&R.. While on shore among “other things” I bought some Haitian voodoo masks and brought them home. My wife to be thought they were devil worship and destroyed them. F—k. Women!!! Ps. we are still together and have 8 kids.

The Old Testament and the “Wrath of God” became null and void at Calgary.
There's more to come... we haven't even seen a fraction of the wrath of God yet, as He will dispense it fully, for all that He has saved up from the beginning of mankind -- at the time of the Tribulation.
And then, when the Messiah of Israel returns, He will be a warrior, killing millions upon millions of those who oppose Him at that time, when He sets up His kingdom on this earth, rulling and reigning over the nations in Jerusalem on the Throne of David for that 1,000 years, until the time of the Great White Throne Judgment in Revelation 20.
Individually, we are spared the wrath of God, if we are in the Lamb's book of Life. But, God's wrath is against the nations -- still to come at that Great and Terrible Day of the Lord.

“This event was a Petwo Voodoo service. On the evening of August 14th Dutty Boukman, a houngan and practitioner of the Petwo Voodoo cult, held a service at Bois Caiman. A woman at the service was possessed by Ogoun, the Voodoo warrior spirit. She sacrificed a black pig, and speaking the voice of the spirit, named those who were to lead the slaves and maroons to revolt and seek a stark justice from their white oppressors. (Ironically, it was the whites and not the people of color who were the targets of the revolution, even though the people of color were often very harsh slave owners.)
The woman named Boukman, Jean-Francois, Biassou and Jeannot as the leaders of the uprising. It was some time later before Toussaint, Henry Christophe, Jean-Jacques Dessalines and Andre Rigaud took their places as the leading generals who brought The Haitian Revolution to its final triumph.
Word spread rapidly of this historic and prophetic religious service and the maroons and slaves readied themselves for a major assault on the whites. This uprising which would not ever be turned back, began on the evening of August 21st. The whole northern plain surrounding Cape Francois was in flames. Plantation owners were murdered, their women raped and killed, children slaughtered and their bodies mounted on poles to lead the slaves.” from webster.com; “An Historical Essay in Four Parts by Bob Corbett”
I thought I remembered this to be true from reading John Mitcham’s “Caribbean”. So the “pact” did happen and you may disagree with Robertson but that doesn't mean he is wrong.
