Hi all,
An (rather unknown) artist that I'm a big fan of wrote a song that was recorded by Tim McGraw and he sent out an email to let his fans know that it had been released. It was part of the soundtrack for the recent documentary "By The People" about the election of Barack Obama which aired on HBO (I believe). Quite a few great artists donated music to the soundtrack which has just been released and is available on iTunes, etc. All of the proceeds go to the Unitaed Way and Enterprise (charity for affordable homes and helps communities).
I just went to iTunes and the release (that has just come out)has been rated way down already with 100s of nasty anti-Obama comments. None of them are actually about the music. It is definitely an organized effort. I wouldn't even care except for these assholes are hurting the charities.
I know everyone is very focused on giving to the efforts to help those in Haiti and that is certainly what should be front and center right now, but if you were going to buy some music or you just want to go listen and rate what you here, go to iTunes and check it out! It's currently one of the featured releases or you can just do a search for it. I just purchased it and it's really great and the $9.99 goes to charity!
