14. Where do you get the idea that 800 service costs a $1 a call? Try a nickle maybe.

Even small business can get 800 service for around $0.05 to $0.10 a minute with 6 second billing.

A large organization like 700 club likely has rates in the $0.02 to $0.03 range.

Figure slightly more than minimum wage for customer service people and they likely will cut you off in a rant within 2 minutes.

Say $8 per hour = 60 minutes = $0.13 per minute. Maybe you get 2 minutes of time out of them. So make it quarter tops.
