1. I hope they bring in heavy equipment for rescue and burials
because they need to start burying the dead before disease starts to break out.

In a perfect world they would bring in medical personnel and folks to help with the immediate needs, but simultaneously they need to perhaps clear out areas and build housing for these folks. I would think that there are structural engineers and such who could help them do this and put the Haitians to work perhaps rebuilding a better Haiti.

Put in proper water and electric systems, to replace what was lost, etc.

I fear that people will go in and bury the dead, help the sick and then disappear in a year.

2. yes, there was a plan of action described on one of the TV
stations yesterday - clear the roads so that access can be provided to all - trapped, dead and injured.
