The more I think about Pat Robertson, the more pissed off I get-so I did something.
1.I went to the 700 Club website-they have a statement regarding Robertson's comments
http://www.cbn.com/about/pressrelease_patrobertson_haiti.aspx
Statement Regarding Pat Robertson's Comments on Haiti
CBN.com – VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., January 13, 2010 -- On today’s The 700 Club, during a segment about the devastation, suffering and humanitarian effort that is needed in Haiti, Dr. Robertson also spoke about Haiti’s history. His comments were based on the widely-discussed 1791 slave rebellion led by Boukman Dutty at Bois Caiman, where the slaves allegedly made a famous pact with the devil in exchange for victory over the French. This history, combined with the horrible state of the country, has led countless scholars and religious figures over the centuries to believe the country is cursed. Dr. Robertson never stated that the earthquake was God’s wrath. If you watch the entire video segment, Dr. Robertson’s compassion for the people of Haiti is clear. He called for prayer for them. His humanitarian arm has been working to help thousands of people in Haiti over the last year, and they are currently launching a major relief and recovery effort to help the victims of this disaster. They have sent a shipment of millions of dollars worth of medications that is now in Haiti, and their disaster team leaders are expected to arrive tomorrow and begin operations to ease the suffering.

Spokesman for CBN
-well,that just pissed me off more,so I emailed the CBN editors

..and as soon as I compile a list of sponsors,I will contact them.
I can't sit back quietly and lead them to believe I condone this hate speech in this time of tragedy.

5. well,they are forms that you fill out on site...
I chastised them for endorsing hate speech directed towards the Haitian people in their time of suffering, asked them if this was their idea of being a Christian, told them I would be contacting all their advertisers, and concluded with the following Bible quote...
"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18

6. The list of sponsors would be even more helpful
We need to let corporations know that this drivel from a man who, himself, did business with bad guy Taylor, will not be tolerated by thinking, caring people.

12. Thanks, but perhaps it is an infomercial and not sponsored?
If so, we might just get a list of ANY sponsors to that network and write them about not using their products if they do not insist the televangelist huckster gets taken off the air.

18. It's an infomercial that ABC Family is contractually obligated to air.
Robertson put a perpetuity clause requiring the airing of The 700 Club by whoever owns that cable channel when he originally sold it to Fox in the late 90s.

Put it this way, that clause is so ironclad, not even Disney's best lawyers can crack it.

The FCC has no control over content on pay services such as cable or sattelite.

"I understand the importance of being able to get a credit for this
program off your bill. I understand you have some concerns about the
host of the 700 club show. Thank you for taking the time to contact us,
to provide feedback on what you are viewing. - snip-Although, we cannot reduce your monthly bill for this programming I will
be happy to apply a small courtesy credit to your account for this
month. "
I was surprised they bothered to write back at all. They must be deluged with complaints...

P.S.:
I told them to send said credit to the Red Cross.

20. Well, in fairness to Pat, he wasn't the craziest person on the 700 Club today.
Because he had Michelle Bachmann on. And she was foaming at the mouth about how Obama was the most "radical left wing President" ever, Nancy Pelosi was the most "radical left wing Speaker of the house" ever and Harry Reid was the most "radical left wing Majority leader" ever.

If somebody knows where the portal to the alternative universe where any of that is true, please tell me how to get there. Until then, just lock Bachmann Palin Overdrive up in a padded cell and throw away the key.

21. I'm so pissed off that AT&T is charging customers to donate via the Haiti Text
that I emailed & called them today, and formed an FB group which hopefully will inform others & get them to harrass AT&T too. If Verizon & TMobile can forgo those charges, so can AT&T.
