This State of the Union Address Will Kill!
Why is it so important to get a health care reform bill, I mean a health insurance reform bill, passed in time for the State of the Union Address? That seems like a page right out of the Reagan playbook. In 1986, we had to launch a space shuttle the morning of Reagan's State of the Union Address, against the advice of engineers who knew better. It had a teacher on board, the very first space-traveling teacher, and it was to be the highlight of Reagan's speech. We know what happened to Challenger.

Now, health care reform, I mean health insurance reform, is to be the highlight of the 2010 State of the Union Address. We can only hope that this doesn't blow up into a complete disaster, like the space shuttle. That killed seven people in 73 seconds. This health care "deform" plan will negatively affect millions of Americans for decades.

Have we Democrats also become the party of appearance? Doesn't health care for Americans who are sick mean anything more than higher profits for insurance companies?

2. I haven't seen or read a final bill yet so I don't know that it is a "deform"
plan and don't know whether it will negatively affect millions of Americans for decades or not. Projection...

4. what changes?
I'm curious what changes you think might be made to the Senate plan that would prevent this outcome?

6. I get it. I don't need a mirror to see the target on my DU back. But if a great
Obama supporter and Democrat like me is unwelcome here, then what's the point of this? Honest, sincere criticism in the interest of a better America is more important to me than blind loyalty to a particular human. Yes we can, but not without input and feedback and discussion.

We're not the Republicans, are we? Huh?

(Oh, some of us are?)

10. In two party America, where the two parties are really
Just one party, it hardly matters to me.

Che Guevarra, who was an excellent writer and political analyst, spoke of how the CIA was smart enough to use a policy of "negotiated solutions."

So when the CIA's installed dictator just became too brutal for the masses to tolerate, and revolt was in the wind, then elections would be allowed. The CIA woul dsee to it that some very pleasant and rather mesmerizing guy would be the candidate for "reform" And he would win the vote, and then continue with the same polciies as the CIA had going in that Banana Republic.

That is all Obama is, really, a carefully negotiated solution. We can win the hearts and minds of the dark skinned people in all the many regions necessary for our billionaires to achieve more exploitation. While the people here at home are so happy with how cute the kids are, how swell Michelle's arms look, and how mesmerizing the State of The Union speech giver happens to be.

7. "no one is buying the commercial anymore" - actually, apparently most people still are.

DU is not necessarily a good representation of the general state of the nation.

11. The sick part of this now is it is behind closed doors
A secret when the people have a full right to know just how they are going to be screwed. These politician fucks do work for the people yet this they have forgot in their cloud of fame and fortune.

Each one of them should be forced to live in the worst areas of their own state or district for 6 months then come out and tell the people what they got out of it , and let them have no inside scoop or healthcare benefits.

They went about this so called re-form from the wrong way to begin with. I should have been in steps and not some grand goal to win an award or make history.

For the many people who have no job or hope of finding one this bill no matter how it is squeezed out will not help them.

They do this behind closed doors so they don't have the outrage to face.
