BRAVO for doing what needs to be done. Yes early on they were going this is what WE are doing making it sound like nobody else was doing it. (And we may be doing the heavy lifting for geographic reasons... though I will not be too shocked if both Canada and Mexico soon join us with oh troops, and trucks. They go together.

I am starting to get the sneaky feeling that Katrina did start a change (Yes the world responded, and long story on how some of those teams got in), and the Tsunami sealed it. We are starting to see outselves as part of the world and our media is starting to reveal this.

Oh and yes, I did email them yesterday and pointed this by sending them links. Also pointed out that... I can go to the interwebs and do it myself. Would apreciate it if they did it themselves, for the sake of others listening to the coverage that do not know why or how others are also helping.

Oh and it goes saying GO WORLD!!!!!

1. Yay world

Bush inadvertently managed to do something right by uniting the world in ensuring something like Katrina NEVER EVER happens again.

2. The world offered help during Katrina

But Bush turned them all down.

3. I want this country to be reminded of this very fact...it won't take but a few moments nor would it

take away from the relief effort directed towards Haiti, if this truth is not retold and retold again, Katrina can happen once again on our shores, it would depend on whom is in the hot seat, and it stands to reason sans the history of our country that the repubs might just one day get the chance to continue it's desire to gut this country from the inside out in order to raise their personal standing...

If this is forgotten, history will surely be once gain repeated...

4. THe world still responded

and after aid was pouring in, IN SPITE of the State Department, finally they relented.

There were dutch and Mexican sailors clearing schools from debris in the gulf coat, the Canadian DART team on the ground in NOLA with water purification plants, and rescue personnel.

Now reality is that most people don't know about this since well, the press never made a point of this.

5. Well, with Brownie and Bush spending more time with their families,

we should not be surprised.

The speed of the aid is stunning. It shows what the world can do when necessary. It would be nice to see this kind of cooperation in other areas.

7. The problem is getting the logistics train going

And I suspect global weather change may force the world to start working together more often.

9. I've lost count of who's actually on the ground

and who's not... just that help is pouring in from the four corners of the world.

The Airport, which is becoming HQ central for the effort, will have all kinds of languages spoken... and it warms my heart.
