It has the appearance of graciousness, yet it totally puts W on the spot. You know it's the last freaking thing he wants to do (Haiti? And it's not an unusual event. It's actually a very good idea that was used during the Tsunami 5 years ago. Sending out former leaders from both sides of the aisle to represent the United States and, more importantly, drum up donations from their former constituents, shows the USA is united in helping Haiti.
